About SFHC

Saint Francis Hockey Club is providing opportunities to both senior and young hockey players to the best standard in Mid-Sussex. Founded in 1956, and based out of the Saint Francis Social and Sports Club in Haywards Heath, we pride ourselves on creating opportunity to all members of the club, no matter the age, ability and development of a member. We currently play our home fixtures in Burgess Hill at the Triangle Leisure Centre. Just a short drive away from the club house in which a welcoming atmosphere is a priority for us as a Hockey Club. Everyone is welcome as a member of the Saint Francis Family!

Our 1st men’s team currently play in Sussex Open division 2, with the 2nd team participating in Division 4. Our junior side (the Leprechauns) provide playing opportunities for U12 and U16 across league fixtures, friendlies and tournaments.

Our Values
1) Enjoyment - Above all else we want our members to enjoy and play Hockey for enjoyment and the love of the sport.
2) Membership - All members of the club are valued and respected.
3) Teamwork - By working together, everyone at the club can succeed.
4) Challenge - We want to challenge ourselves to develop as individuals as a team and the club as a whole.

This club has a history of providing young talented players to Sussex County Hockey, whilst members of our own playing members are involved within the coaching set up across different years and teams of the county Hockey program. This history that we have, allows us to set our aims and goals high, in which we strive to achieve.
